Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of breakawayiq.xyz and the BreakawayIQ research service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

BreakawayIQ is a research and prospecting tool for advisers, family offices and funds. It organizes publicly available regulatory records (including SEC and state filings) and other public sources into searchable profiles, and provides AI-assisted tools that read that data. The service is informational. It is not investment, legal or compliance advice, and it does not recommend securities or advisers.

Accounts and seats

A subscription includes two user seats. Workspace owners may invite and remove seat members within the included limit. You are responsible for activity under your account, for keeping credentials confidential, and for ensuring each seat is used by one named person.

Subscriptions and billing

Plans are offered at the prices published on the pricing page, billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment provider. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. We may change prices for new periods with reasonable advance notice to your account email.

API and AI-tool access

Workspace API keys and connected AI applications access the service on your behalf, scoped to the data your workspace can already see and subject to daily request budgets. Do not share keys outside your organization. You are responsible for AI-tool connections you approve, and you may revoke them at any time. Automated access must not be used to redistribute or resell the underlying data.

Data and sources

Profiles and metrics are drawn from public regulatory filings and other public sources, with observation dates and source links. We work to keep data current, but public records change and may contain their own errors or omissions; verify material facts against the linked primary sources before acting on them.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to violate law, to harass any person, to misrepresent the origin of the data, to attempt to de-anonymize individuals, or to probe or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that create risk or load for other customers.

Intellectual property

The compilation, organization and presentation of the service belongs to BreakawayIQ. Underlying regulatory records remain public records of their issuing agencies. You may use research output inside your organization and in deliverables to your own clients, with attribution to the primary sources.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will note material changes with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a change takes effect means acceptance. Questions: use the support contact on the site.
